More About Marianne E. Brown
Marianne E. Brown is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council and is an active probate litigator. She has been a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) her entire career. Ms. Brown belongs to the ABA’s Environmental Litigation Committee, and served as co-chair of the Insurance Sub-Committee from 2008-2010. In 2009, she authored the article “Recent Developments in Corporate Successors’ Rights to Insurance Coverage” which was published in the ABA’s Environmental Litigator.
Ms. Brown is also a member of the New England Women in Real Estate (NEWIRE) and a member of its Community Involvement Committee. In 2009, Ms. Brown organized a fundraiser through NEWIRE which delivered baby supplies to needy new mothers in the greater Boston area. Ms. Brown is Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Women's Bar Association Middlesex County Committee.
Marianne E. Brown practiced law in Philadelphia for many years before moving to Arlington, Massachusetts three years ago. In Philadelphia, she was General Counsel to the American Poetry Review. She remains a member of its Board of Directors.
Ms. Brown lives in East Arlington, Massachusetts with her family. She is an active member of St. Paul Church, and the Arlington Boys and Girls Club. She enjoys swimming at the Club and running in local races. In 2009, she completed her first Triathlon at King Pine, New Hampshire. Ms. Brown also enjoys playing the violin and is a member of the Arlington Philharmonic Society.
